Patricia Joan (pronounced Jo-an) McBroom was born on February 3, 1930 to Marion Miller McBroom and Evan McBroom.

She grew up in an area of Indianapolis called Cerlinetown. She attended Public School #44 and graduated from Shortridge High School.  After high school she attended Central Business College.

She worked at 7Up Bottling Company and in 1976 went to work for the State Department of Health,  Air Pollution Control which is now  Air Management ,Department of Environmental Management  where she retired from after 20 years of service in 1996.

Pat as she was called loved ice skating but most of all dancing. She was an avid reader and belonged to a book club. She also did ceramics and crocheting which she was very good at and made beautiful pieces.

She loved her mother Marion Miller McBroom and father Evan McBroom.  She was the apple of her grandparents Julius and Cora McBroom ‘s eye. These all preceded her in death.  She loved her dog Maggie and cat Mollie.

She loved her friends and the people she worked with at Air Management and says goodbye to everyone and God bless.

After a long illness she departed this life on April 3, 2019 at the age of 89 years and 2 months.

She will be sadly missed by all those who were a part of her life.  She is gone but not forgotten.

Services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Westview Christian Church, 5925 West 34^th Street, Indianapolis. A viewing will be held from 11:00 until the time of service at 1:00.
